Monodeck 26T Acoustic Insulating Boards
The Monodeck 26T Acoustic Insulating Boards is designed to reduce impact and airborne sound transmission through timber floors. Impact sound and airborne sound have a reduction upto 49dB. The boards consists of a T&G 18mm moisture resistant chipboard bonded to 8mm reconstituted acoustic foam. When installed as part of a complete party floor construction the system enables a timber floor to meet the sound transmission standards of Approved Document E 2003 and amendments in 2004,2010, 2013 & 2015.
The boards are laid in a brickbond pattern, foam side down with all joints tightly interlocked and fully PVA glued SEE LINK. Engineered flooring can be floated directly onto Monodeck 26T Acoustic Boards, or fully bonded down using Wakol MS260 flooring adhesive SEE LINK. Please make sure that the sub-floor is level prior to laying the Monodeck Boards, as it will not level your floor. Ideal for floor upgrades when looking to improve sound reduction under engineered wood floors.
Fit the Angled Flanking Band around the perimeter as you lay the boards SEE LINK, skirting is then fitted on top of the band, which can then be trim off. If the skirting boards are already on, fit the Isolation Strip SEE LINK against the skirting before laying the boards. This can be trimmed as necessary after installation of the boards.
Thickness of the boards are 26mm, width is 600mm and length is 2400mm. Each board covers an area of 1.44m2. Total weight of each panel is 18.80kg.
