The range focuses on Scandinavian-inspired designs, offering clean, neutral wood tones and realistic stone effects. These floors are practical alternatives to real wood or ceramic tiles, designed to withstand moisture, impacts, and heavy foot traffic.
Construction and Durability Nordikka flooring is engineered for performance. The planks and tiles are 100% water-resistant, making them suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, and utility rooms where real wood is often at risk. The surface is protected by a tough wear layer—ranging from 0.3mm for residential use up to 0.55mm for commercial environments—which resists scratches, dents, and scuffs.
The Nordikka range includes two distinct installation methods to suit different subfloors and project requirements:
SPC Rigid Click: This floating floor system features a rigid core that can hide minor subfloor imperfections. It uses the 2G angle-angle system for standard planks and the advanced Unidrop X system for herringbone patterns. These click mechanisms lock planks together tightly without adhesive.
LVT Glue-Down: These flexible dry-back tiles are glued directly to the subfloor. This method provides maximum stability and is often preferred for large open-plan areas or commercial spaces with heavy rolling loads.
The collection includes a variety of formats:
Planks: Standard wood-effect boards in light to dark oak shades.
Herringbone: Smaller blocks designed to be laid in a zigzag pattern.
Tiles: Rectangular or square tiles that mimic concrete, slate, or stone.
What is the difference between Nordikka LVT and SPC?
LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) is a flexible vinyl that is usually glued down. SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) is a rigid floating floor with a limestone core. SPC is denser, heavier, and has an integrated click system, making it easier to install as a floating floor, while LVT is thinner and requires a perfectly smooth subfloor for gluing.
Is Nordikka flooring completely waterproof?
Yes. Both the SPC and LVT ranges are made from synthetic materials that do not absorb water. This means they will not swell or warp if exposed to spills or moisture, provided they are installed correctly.
Do I need an underlay?
If you choose the SPC Rigid Click range, it often comes with a pre-attached acoustic underlay (check the specific product spec). If you choose the Glue-Down LVT, you do not use a standard underlay; instead, you adhere the product directly to a prepared subfloor using a suitable high-temperature or pressure-sensitive adhesive.
Can I use this flooring with underfloor heating?
Yes, Nordikka vinyl flooring is compatible with water-piped underfloor heating systems. The thin profile of the boards allows heat to transfer through efficiently. Ensure the surface temperature does not exceed 27°C.
Which wear layer do I need?
0.3mm: Suitable for general domestic use (bedrooms, living rooms).
0.55mm: Suitable for heavy domestic and commercial use (hallways, kitchens, offices, shops)
